Emma is a young lady who lives with her father at Hartfield, Highbury village. She is rich, beautiful, clever, and independent. She seems to have one of the best blessings of existence. She has everything her heart desires – property, popularity in society, and sharp mind. She has everything but a husband. But she does not want to be sealed by the marriage bond. She promises herself never to marry for her father’s sake. She is fond of making matches among her acquaintances. She fancies herself the master of matchmaking and arranges the lives of her friends. She is so engaged in arranging the feelings of the others that she gets confused with her own senses. Moreover, all her matches result in serious consequences for her friends. To her great surprise, she finds herself in love with her old friend. All her predictions turn out to be quite the opposite. She must take a serious decision: whether to break her promise to herself, or to marry a man she loves dearly. Events are unfolding in the north of England, in Wuthering Heights. Once a long time ago, Mr Earnshaw brings to his house a gipsy-like boy, with black hair and dark eyes. Despite his wife’s objections, Mr Earnshaw adopts this boy, giving him only one name – Heathcliff. His children now, Catherine and Hindley, must share their father’s love with Heathcliff. Heathcliff’s early years were very complicated: Mr Earnshaw’s death, Hindley’s constant bullying, servants’ harsh humiliation etc. However, there was a good thing – Catherine’s kind attitude raises in Heathcliff’s heart an eternal love for her for a life time. When his love for Catherine is not returned, he suddenly escapes from Wuthering Heights.

Many years later, Heathcliff comes back to Wuthering Heights as a wealthy, handsome man, who wants to avenge his former childhood sufferings. He finds Catherine married to another man and does his best to get revenge for her selfishness and indifference. His revenge takes horrible forms and knows no limits in time. He turns into a heartless, cruel man who can hardly stop on his way of revenge and hatred. Although, his love for Catherine never dies in his heart…

Jane Eyre is an orphan who lives with her aunt, Mrs Reed, at Gateshead Hall. She is hated and scorned there by her aunt continuously. In addition, Mrs Reed’s children never miss the opportunity to beat and humiliate little Jane when possible. Over time, having lost her precious patience, Mrs Reed sends Jane to a charity-school. There Jane does her best to survive in conditions of starvation and cold. Eight years pass in a monotonous way. Jane becomes a good teacher and leaves Lowood to work as a private governess at Thornfield.

Thornfield seems to be a wonderful place, but there are many mysteries hidden in its rooms. Jane is very pleased with her new situation and place of living. Presently, she falls in love with Mr Rochester – the owner of Thornfield who enslaves her heart completely. Their mutual love blossoms in harmony and happiness. But this happiness was not destined to last long. Mr Rochester reveals Jane a horrible secret which destroys her all hopes and dreams. She runs away from Thornfield in order not to see Mr Rochester again in her life. Despite her common sense, she cannot forget Mr Rochester however much she tried. Will she come back to him and save him from self-destruction? Or will she be an independent woman who would never be married? This decision depends on her.
